I am a data artist, writer and teacher.
You can look at some work I've done over the last twenty years, find out about my books, come on a jungle retreat, hire me to speak at your event, or buy some artwork that I've made.
Here are some things I'm excited about right now.
Binoculars to Binomials
Binoculars to Binomials is an online cohort-based course for coders who are interested in cultivating an observational practice, and for birders who want to dive into the rich pool of data that comes out of their hobby. It's also for anyone who's interested in the overlap between environmental care, data and creativity.
"This course is extremely unique, it's worth every penny and you really cannot get this anywhere else." - Shreya J.
Spring 2027 Cohorts start in March!
Living in Data
Rainforest Retreat
2027 dates coming soon
Spend five days in the lush and bird-filled jungle of Santa Marta, Colombia with Jer and a small group of curious bird + data + art enthusiasts. We'll wander the forest with local guides, learn new skills and approaches, visit indigenous communities, and collaboratively author projects deeply connected to this remarkable place.
"Absolutely life-changing." - Hope F.
2027 dates will be announced in December. Sign up for my newsletter to hear first.
